Ok, this is a really good question to answer especially because a lot of people are in this position.


Playing hard to get is actually not a good way to flirt. Being confident and open is.


Try walking past him and saying hi or even stopping to have a conversation, no matter who he's talking to before you get there. It will show that you are confident enough to show that you are brave enough to not run away when he is talking to one of his friends.


Show him that you always have something to say, but not in an annoying way. Bring up a subject he's interested in, like wrestling, or even football. If you know for sure what sports he's interested in, tell him specific details about a game or match you saw last night. It'll show that you have something in common.


When you are looking for a reaction out of him, try to see if he is focused on you and not other things. If you are talking to him and the entire time he's looking for his friends, just tell him that you'll talk to him later.


If he is focused, see if he continues the conversation. I had this crush that every time I talked to him, he only responded in short answers that made the conversation unappealing and hard to continue. So I just dropped him and started looking for another guy.


The most important thing is BE YOURSELF. Guys don't want to get to know someone and find out that he's been crushing on a completely different girl. You don't want him to fall for someone you're not.
