Any of you guys have advice for making a good college?

for a high school (about to be junior) who screwed up sophomore year. -_-Any of you guys have advice for making a good college?
You must mean, ';any advice on how I can attend a good college?';

It is never too late to make a fresh start. Dump the distractions that made your sophomore year a bad year.

The college admissions staff review applicants one by one. If you can show a remarkable improvement, such as getting mostly ';A';s from now on, then most will forgive you.

You will have to work extra hard to make up for last year. Spend your evenings studying, not watching TV, playing games or surfing the Internet.

Take the most difficult classes than you can reasonably handle. Don't look for the easiest class. Colleges look to see if you are trying to take the lazy way or the hard way. It is better to get a ';B'; or even a ';C'; in a tough class than an ';A'; in an easy class.

In fact, AP (Advanced Placement) classes highlight the fact that it is better to take a tough class than an easy class. They give you an extra GPA point on AP classes. An A becomes 5 points, a B is 4 points and a C is 3 points.

Pick two colleges that you would really like to attend and one that you are 90% certain that you can get into. Look at the high school requirements for those schools. Adjust your junior and senior classes to meet those requirements as best you can.

It might not be too late to take a summer school class right away. You might be able to replace one of your previous class grades with a good summer grade. At least you can catch up on some of the subjects.

Study for the SAT and ACT exams. Take both since they are very different. There are summer school classes that you can take to help you prepare for these exams.

Education is the most important investment you can make because it is an investment in yourself. You may have to give up some fun but you will have a better future as a result.

Good Luck!Any of you guys have advice for making a good college?
You should probably seek this answer from your guidance counselor. If they are of no help, take in consideration your location, your cash flow, your aptitude, your attitude, and your interests in life. I realize many people never really know what they want to do in life, but find an interest and stick with it until you are no longer interesed.
dont screw up...oops...youre screwed.
