I was dating this guy for a while. we broke up but i love him still. advice guys?

we broke up and w both found someone new. however, he still talks to me, and tells me he misses me. his new girlfriend has so much in common with me, that it's almost like he's dating another version of me! though he lives in another state and we've worked on things, i just don't know what to do. advice would be the greatest thing in the world for me. thanks :)I was dating this guy for a while. we broke up but i love him still. advice guys?
I would say that unless you honestly feel that you want to get back together with him and he feels the same then you have to try and move on. It will take time but it will happen. It took me like 6 months to get over an ex who i loved.

The way I see it, there are only two courses of action (or inaction):





1. Chalk it up to exes being exes for a reason and don't pursue a bf/gf relationship with him. Cut off contact for a while so both of you can focus on the wonderful people who are in your lives right now and show them some respect.





2. Have a heart-to-heart with him about getting back together. Either:


a. He'll dump her and come running back to your arms. Love conquers all!


b. He'll say he's into the relationship he has and doesn't want to screw it up. In this case, rinse and repeat back at #1 until you get him out of your head.
