How do i get past the ';dating phase';? is he ever going to commit to me? [guys advice would be awesome]

i met a guy 2 months ago and hes just about perfect. he treats me like gold, hes gorgeous, and is fun to be around. when we hang out he treats me like his girlfriend, hell hold my hand or put his arm around me, always give me kisses, and calls me beautiful or perfect, even in front of his friends. he says that were dating, hes not hooking up with anyone else and that he cares and respects me. we hung out in a group the other night [some of my friends and some of his] and he kept bringing up commitment, but when i asked him to explain he said that i deserved someone who would treat me right 100% of the time [we were both drunk]. he even drunkdialed his sister to tell her about me and said that he wants to bring me home [he lives 7 hours away, but hes at school near where i live]. he often tells me that he wants to take me out to dinner. hell occassionally bring up commitment but seems to jump around the subject. he says hes never been in love but that im making him fall in love with me.How do i get past the ';dating phase';? is he ever going to commit to me? after two months? are you serious? that is way too soon.
If he is not hooking up with anybody else, what other commitment do you want, a ring?





I would just enjoy what you have and continue to ';date'; him. Whether or not you and him agree on relationship status, you are already there if you are both monogamous.
i think you're best bet is to wait for at least a year so you can get to know him as a person and not just in passing. and then he'll probably be more willing to talk to you about commitment.
wow odds are hes afraid of love because hes seen past realitonships go bad either with friends or family and the whole hting with commitment is scary for him hes falling in love with you wow watch out not to be mean but if he gets scared he might brake up with you thats what my ex did and then cryed for me to take him back but by then i was talking to another guy so yeha take it slow so you wont scare him that the best advice i can give.
Aww that sounds exactly how my boyfriend was with me when we first started dating. Mines kinda shy so i knew he wasn't going to say anything first so i said to him ';just wondering, i really like you a lot but i'm a bit confused as to whether we're boyfriend girlfriend/exclusive or are we just 'dating' cos i really don't want to be seeing anyone else.'; If he says yes... great your there, if he says he's not sure or something, and you don't think you can wait etc, say something like ';look, i don't want to be wasting my time, you either like me or not?';.





I'm definite he'll say yes though, he's probably just doesn't want to rush you etc.... Boyfriend was the same saying how i deserved better and he didn't want to annoy me!
